How to Keep Cables from Breaking

These days, the majority of individuals own a range of portable electronic gadgets. This implies that many little electrical wires, including charging cables, are connected to items like headphones and earbuds. These cables, as you've certainly seen at some point, have a tendency to be rather brittle and prone to breaking, particularly where the wires attach to the plug and device connections. We are aware of how inconvenient it is to constantly repair your faulty wires. Fortunately, there are techniques to take better care of and safeguard your wires so they live longer.

Pull cables out by the end that connects to the plug or the device.

By holding the wire in the middle and pulling out the cable, you will place a lot more strain on the cable. Instead of pulling the cable out, grab the hard plastic at either end, such as the USB connector that connects into the charger block or the little piece that inserts into your electronic gadget.
Any type of cable, including phone chargers, laptop chargers, headphone cables, and other electrical cables, is covered by this. Even strong cables that are less likely to break, such as power cords for electrical appliances, can survive longer if you unhook them by holding the plug head rather than the wire.

Try to avoid bending or squishing your cables when they're plugged in.

When you plug in your cords, give them plenty of space and slack. Avoid shoving them behind or below objects since the strain and tension may rapidly result in damaged wires. Don't place the headboard of the bed or another piece of furniture directly up against the phone charger, for instance, if you have it plugged in behind your bed or another piece of furniture. Allow space so that the cable won't be compressed. Try to avoid using an electronic item, like your phone, in a way that forces you to bend or pull on the cord if it is hooked into a charger.

Loop loose cables on top of themselves 3-4 times to transport them safely.

To fasten a cable loop, gently coil it three to four times on top of itself to reduce it to around one-third or one-fourth of its original size. The wires are put under a lot of strain if a cable is simply crammed together, shoved in a bag, or folded firmly and tied in a knot. To travel with a cable safely and damage-free, loop it in this way and tuck it into a small pocket within your bag or luggage.

Keep your cables in a protective case when you're not using them.

You may either buy a basic electronics and cable organizing case or cases for your electrical gadgets that contain compartments for the cords. When not in use, carefully loop your cables over one another and store them in a case pocket to keep them safe and secure. This will stop mishaps like accidentally squishing, bending, or stressing your cables with an office chair or other object.
